2023 Stone Lab & Gibraltar Island Tour

We had 30 participants and perfect weather for this year’s Stone Lab and Gibraltar Island tour! We learned about current Lake Erie water quality issues and we explored Gibraltar Island to learn about it’s rich history. Thank you to AgCredit for sponsoring this event and to the Stone Lab staff for leading an excellent tour!

2023 Water Camp

We hosted 11 kids this year for our first SRWC Water Camp. We had a great time exploring Rock Creek, fishing, learning about watersheds, touring the Aqua Tiffin Drinking Water Plant, and of course playing some fun water games! Thank you to the Tiffin Community Foundation White Family Charitable Fund and Youth Advisory Council for provided funds to support our camp.

2023 Fremont Clean Sweep

We collected over 20 bags of trash, a bike, and small amount of scrap metal from along the Sandusky River in Fremont this year. Thank you to our 20 volunteers, including the Fremont St. Joe football team, that came and helped remove trash this year!

2023 Sandusky River Tour

For the this year’s tour we explored Wyandot County and went to the Wyandot County Recycling Center, a Lake Erie CREP wetland, and Indian Mill. Thank you to everyone that attended and our hosts at each stop along the way!
